Consistent widget layout in Workspace
· 2 min read
We are preparing Workspace to become the landing page in Ignos. As a first step, we have cleaned up the widgets so they look and behave the same way across the board.
What's new
- Consistent widget headings – all widgets now share the same heading style, so it is easier to see what each widget shows.
- Shared error layout – when a widget can't load its data, the error is shown the same way in every widget.
- Shared empty state – when a widget has no data to show, it now uses a common empty state instead of each widget handling it differently.
- Smoother edit flow – small improvements to editing your board, so arranging and configuring widgets is easier.
- Resize without edit mode – you can now resize a widget at any time by dragging its bottom-right corner, without entering edit mode first.
Widget too small after the update?
Widgets that did not have a heading before now have one. Because the heading takes up some space, a few widgets may get a scrollbar. To fix this, drag the widget's bottom-right corner to make it slightly larger. You don't need to enter edit mode.
What's next
We will continue improving Workspace ahead of the landing page change, including the user flow between Workspace and the other Ignos apps. We will share more here as each part is released.
